Student Engineering Kits (SEK)

All Student Engineering Kits (SEK) installations must scheduled.

After you schedule your appointment, installations must be performed by Luke McMasters located in 406 Nichols. You MUST bring your laptop charger with you when you drop off your laptop.

Typically installations only take an hour to complete but sometimes can take longer due to priority of labs and classrooms.

Deactivate Your SOLIDWORKS Product

SOLIDWORKS Product Activation enables you to activate, reactivate, deactivate, or display SOLIDWORKS licenses on this computer.

The Activate/Deactivate Your SOLIDWORKS Product screen appears if one of these events occurred:

  • You started SOLIDWORKS and the license for this computer is not activated. (You are in Activate mode.)

  • In SOLIDWORKS, you clicked > Licenses > Activate. (You are in Activate mode.)

  • In SOLIDWORKS, you clicked > Licenses > Deactivate . (You are in Deactivate mode.)

  • When you started SOLIDWORKS, you clicked Reactivate Now in response to a Product Activation prompt.

Before you can run SOLIDWORKS products on an individual computer, you must activate the license for that computer.

If you disable a computer or move the SOLIDWORKS software from one computer to another, you must deactivate the license to the license key server at Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corporation. Then, you reactivate the license on the other computer.

For details about activating, deactivating, and reactivating SOLIDWORKS licenses, see SOLIDWORKS Installation and Administration Guide.
