Ansys

Web Shared Named User Licensing

  • VMI has changed over to Web Shared Licensing away from our Concurrent Floating License.

  • To access ANSYS in the computer labs you will need to have an Ansys account to login.

What does this mean?

When a user first starts Ansys on any computer lab machine they will be prompted to sign in using their Ansys account, the computer no longer autopulls a license from our licensing server.

This now also opens up access to installing Ansys on your personal machines and being able to use it anywhere as long as you have access to the internet to reach the cloud licensing server.
